- Susan currently serves as Vice President of the Edmonds
School Board. She considers educational research, proven practices, and
community input when making decisions for the Edmonds School District.
- As
Vice President of the Edmonds School Board, Susan works with state
legislators to address issues such as full funding for schools and the
effect reduced funding has on students, parents, teachers, and
neighborhoods.
- Susan has been active in the Edmonds community for more than ten years, working as a community advocate and volunteer in the Edmonds School District.
- Susan is an instructor at Edmonds Community College and an enthusiastic volunteer in the PTA and of the Parent and Booster clubs in the Edmonds school district, where her two children attend school.
- Susan rises to the challenge of balancing the needs, wants, and priorities of a very diverse group of stakeholders in the District, including students and parents; teachers, staff, and administrators; and the broader Edmonds community.
